How the Bench Works Across All Services
Enquiry and Description
You describe the piece — its type, age and what you have noticed. This gives the bench enough information to set appropriate expectations before we see the piece in person.
Assessment and Condition Note
The piece is examined. A written condition note is prepared covering findings, what can be addressed and what cannot. This is shared before work begins.
Bench Work Within Agreed Scope
Work proceeds only after the scope is confirmed. Parts replaced or fabricated are noted as original or matched-material alternatives in the service record.
Observation and Return
Mechanical pieces are observed for seven days before collection. Any rate or regulation issue that surfaces during this period is addressed before the piece leaves the bench.
Service 01
Pocket Watch & Heritage Clock Service
Bench work on key-wound and lever-set pocket watches, carriage clocks and mantel clocks. Covers cleaning, bushing of worn pivot holes, mainspring replacement and beat adjustment. Written for families holding pieces that have been kept in drawers for decades.

Service 02
Bracelet & Clasp Fabrication
Fabrication and fitting of end links, link pins and clasp components for bracelets no longer supported by the maker. Micro-adjustment sizing to the wearer's wrist. Suited to owners of older sports models where a single failed component has taken the watch out of use.

Floor Clock Attendance Programme
Attendance at the client's home for longcase and wall clock work that cannot travel safely. Covers setup levelling, pendulum and weight adjustment, chime train service and cable replacement, spread across scheduled visits. Aimed at households holding a large clock as a family fixture.

Safe Storage
Pieces not at the bench are stored in padded containers. Movement work is carried out on anti-static mats with calibrated tools.
Parts Documentation
All replaced or fabricated components are noted in the service record with origin — original manufacturer stock or matched-material alternative.
Communication on Timeline Change
If the estimated scope window changes, the client is contacted directly before the deadline passes — not after collection is missed.
